My name is Deirdre and thank you for visiting my wedding photography web site.  I have been a wedding photographer in Dublin for over 15 years.

How happy couples have been with their wedding photographs has always been the most rewarding part of wedding photography in Dublin for me.

I always like to give a sense of story and place to a couples wedding photographs. As a wedding photographer in Dublin, the city provides a lot of really beautiful backdrops for wedding photographs.

There are so many areas around Dublin City centre to choose from. Georgian Dublin, St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin Castle and the Grand Canal to name a few.

My Approach to Dublin Wedding Photography

I typically photograph couples walking through Dublin on their wedding day. This approach makes the bride and groom feel like they are taking a nice walk on their wedding day and not posing for wedding photographs.

This approach is especially good for people who do not like having their photograph taken. Brides also look at their most beautiful when they are relaxed and not being asked to pose. I understand how people feel as I do not like having my photograph taken myself,

My style is natural and unobtrusive. Primarily I like to keep things simple and not make a fuss, which I find people really appreciate.

I started to photograph weddings around the same time that I began to work with newspapers. So I brought a documentary approach to my wedding photography.

Guests look at their very best when they do not feel they are being photographed. I also do not like to impose myself on the day.

Apart from the portrait session, which I also keep natural looking. So I think people usually do not notice me. A priest recently remarked that he did not even think I was in the church and I never use flash during the ceremony.
